Day 4: I Gotta Feeling

Evening all! I can't believe I'm already at day 4 of my adventure!!! How scary!! I could so easily live in this place when I'm older. This is my last full day with my Family in Virginia before flying out to Oklahoma tomorrow.
After the high of Hannah's birthday yesterday, today has been a nice relaxing day. I was allowed a small lie in, until my alarm went off at 0830, which after the early morning the day before was great. After waking up, showering and getting dressed, I came upstairs to get some breakfast, and wait until the first of the days activities.
At around 10am, me and Auntie Lizzie moved on out to Hannah's school for the first full rehearsal of Hannah's 5th Grade graduation show. It was a great experience, watching these fifth grade kids engaged in an all singing, all dancing and all sketching extravaganza. As it was their first run through, it was a bit ragged around the edges, but as it was the first time rehearsing properly they did a really great job of it. Some of the acts though were outstanding! One such act, was a group of boys, singing along, complete with two backing dancers, to Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA". It had me in creases, and I'm sure Miley Cyrus would love to see them performing alongside her at some point. For those of you that don't know the song, this is it, introduced by the legend that is Peter Kay:

The final act of the performance will be spectacular when it's done. It's loosely based around an event that happened on the Oprah show a few months back, in which the Black Eyed Peas were performing at the opening of the 24th Season of her show. Try to think back to the T-Mobile adverts shot in Liverpool Street, with the planned flashdance... well this event on the Oprah show was similar to that. There's an audience of thousands standing on the street, with Oprah stood on stage suspecting nothing. About 30 seconds into the song, one woman at the front starts dancing, nothing odd there... until the entire crowd is dancing along doing the same choreography... I'll let you decide on what you think of it:

So yeah, the entire fifth grade will be doing something similar to that, in an attempt to get the entire hall dancing... But it's a secret, so don't say anything, or I will be forced to hunt you down and torture you!!
After getting home, we had some food and went on out to Walmart... which is another US supermarket, to get some more food and stuff. On the way back, we stopped off at this chicken place, where we got some food and a drink, which we ate en route to pick Hannah up from school. KFC has absolutely nothing on this place, the chicken was amazing and the fries were gorgeous.
As you can probably tell, not too much happened today, just a lot of relaxation and watching rehersals.
So ends today, having had a gorgeous Moroccan Lamb for dinner followed by a nice hot cup of tea whilst writing this blog. Sorry for a short one, today. Until tomorrow x
